Since August 2005 when The Terzeon family purchased the hotel, many improvements have been made. These include landscaping of the gardens, refurbishment of the restaurant and function rooms, staff development and training to ensure the service and facilities meet the high standards demanded today by discerning guests. All this effort has been rewarded, for in August 2006 the AA increased the hotel's percentage rating to 79%, its highest ever.
