Since June 2008 when The Moore family purchased the hotel, many improvements have been made. These include landscaping of the gardens, refurbishment of the restaurant and function rooms, staff development and training to ensure the service and facilities meet the high standards demanded today by discerning guests. All this effort has been rewarded, for in July 2008 the AA increased the hotel's percentage rating to 79%, its highest ever, and awarded a Rosette for fine dining to the Restaurant!
